Saltdean Primary
This is after school forest school exclusively for Saltdean Primary School pupils in Years 2 through 6 now for the 2026-2027 school year.
Please note that this opportunity is not yet available for Reception or year one students.
For the 2026-27 school year, we will operate after school forest school every Wednesday and Thursday for an afternoon of fun and learning with Kids Adventurist Forest School at Saltdean Primary School.
The club runs from 3:15 PM to 5:00 PM and you can choose either Wednesday’s OR Thursday’s OR Both.
We aim to keep the group small, so we can offer attention and focus on developing forest school, outdoor skills, arts and craft and various activities.
We do have back-up indoor space should the weather ever turn unsafe for us to be outside, so rest assured the sessions will carry on whatever the weather - in extreme cases, we may have to cancel.
The sessions are led by Matt Coyne, a Forest School Leader and Beach School Leader at Saltdean Primary, who is also outdoor first aid qualified and has Level 2 Awards in Food Safety & Catering.
Activities could range from learning to whittle, outdoors arts and crafts, cooking / creating over fire and more.
The cost per session is £7 per session, bookable in term chunks.
Part of the costs of these sessions goes towards funding children who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend our sessions as well as reinvesting into resources for in school forest school sessions with Mr Coyne.

Our Experience
Our experienced staff are trained in outdoor education and first aid, ensuring that your child is safe while having a fantastic time. With different activities on offer, each day is a new adventure waiting to be discovered at Kids Adventurist after school sessions. With enough notice, we may offer beach school sessions, or adventures outside of school grounds, but we will always seek permission from guardians before such trips are planned.
At Kids Adventurist Forest School, children could get the chance to cook on a campfire, make new friends, acquire new abilities, get messy, active, and creatively engage outdoors. It’s a great opportunity for children across year groups to interact and get to know each other.

Unleash the inner wildlife detective in every child with our Wildlife Explorer activities.
Children will get the chance to understand what animals big and small live around us, learn about different species' habitats, and understand the importance of biodiversity.
Through activities like bug hunting, bird watching, print tracking and creating habitats for local wildlife, kids develop a deeper appreciation and curiosity for the natural world around them.
